A pressure transmitter is a device that converts pressure into pneumatic or electrical signals for the purposes of control and remote transmission.
It transforms physical pressure parameters-such as those of gases or liquids-detected by a pressure-sensing element into standardized electrical signals (e.g., 4–20 mA DC). These signals are then supplied to secondary instruments-such as indicators, alarms, recorders, and controllers-to facilitate measurement, display, and process regulation.
